ProHealth Care Services
We are proud to offer nationally recognized care to Southeast Wisconsin. Our services include:
For more than a century, ProHealth Care has been the major provider of health services in Waukesha County and today remains the only community-rooted health care system in Southeast Wisconsin. Our mission is to serve residents of Waukesha County and surrounding areas with the highest quality care at a reasonable cost.
Leaders in Cost Transparency
A leader in providing hospital cost and quality information to consumers, ProHealth Care was the first in the state to publish hospital charges for the most common procedures and the first to provide a Consumer Inquiry Line that consumers can call or go online for hospital charge information. ProHealth Care is proud to be the largest employer in Waukesha County.
History
ProHealth Care's history dates back to 1914 as a single hospital providing care on Delafield Street in Waukesha. Today, ProHealth Care is comprised of members representing nearly all aspects of health care.
In 1998, Waukesha Hospital System and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital joined together to form ProHealth Care. The result is an organization that offers 12 primary care clinics, home health care, inpatient and home hospice services, long-term care, senior residency communities, a health and fitness center, and more, with services continually developed and added to keep pace with community need and demand. These all-encompassing services provide a seamless continuum of care to patients of all ages.
ProHealth Care also offers a network of nearly 1,000 physicians and 6,000 employees, making us one of the largest employers in Waukesha County. In 2005, ProHealth Care was named one of the Best Places to Work by Milwaukee Magazine and MRA.
ProHealth Medical Group was formed in January 2008 when ProHealth Care Medical Centers and Medical Associates Health Centers united, joining two medical groups long known for providing high-quality, personalized patient care. We will continue to build on our long legacy of providing compassionate care and bringing needed health services to the communities we serve.
