The Role: We are growing our security sales engineering teams at the management level as well as within our engineering teams. This role will report directly to the Director of North America PreSales and will partner closely with Sales Directors and Sales VPs to drive Security business success.
Responsibilities: The Sales Engineering team is built with specialized individuals who drive technical wins, strong customer relationships and are considered industry thought leaders. This leader will be responsible for creating and driving consistent and successful playbooks for upsell and cross sell within our customer base. An emphasis on proactive sales partnerships, building strong security engineers and growing technical relationships with our customers will be at the forefront of this role.
An example of major responsibilities and deliverables are provided below:
- Proactive support of the Account Management Sales Leaders in achieving revenue targets
- Leading and directing the Account Management Sales Engineer Team ensuring effectiveness of sales lifecycle support in a consistent operating model
- Coaching & Supervision
- Skill Development/ Enhancement
- Performance Management
- Form business relationships with partners to impact pipeline and deal closures
- Serve as a thought leader and company subject matter expert in own expertise area (portfolios and markets)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant individual contributor experience as a Security Sales Engineer
- Comprehensive understanding of Incident Management, Incident Response, Security Operations, SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Security Orchestration and Automation Solutions, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to drive program results, hit deadlines, & measure team effectiveness
- Exceptional interpersonal, team building, mentoring, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
- Demonstrated willingness to take risks & make adjustments quickly
- Executive-level verbal and written communication skills
- Travel: estimated 40%
- Minimum of 3 years leading a technical selling organization related to Security preferred
