We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Minecraft Online team to focus on multiplayer products and initiatives that deepen our community’s engagement with Minecraft.
The candidate has worked with teams of engineers, designers, and artists to create high-quality games or experiences. They love bringing definition to complex technology projects and are capable of navigating ambiguous spaces. They have significant experience in cross-team collaboration, communication, and influencing for impact.
The candidate's technical expertise and attention to detail enables them to identify risks, drive development with predictability, and challenge how we work to continuously improve. Responsibilities
- Drive definition and alignment on engineering team's priorities and scheduling, facilitate scrum ceremonies; drive execution of development roadmap and lead feature definition and scoping; ensure teams understand goals and manage delivery through all phases of development.
- Champion efforts of the team throughout the organization, contribute to product vision planning, and communicate plans across the studio to seek input and refine plans.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the organization: engineering teams, design, player support, data analysis, marketing, release management, and other Microsoft teams to deliver complex programs, to ensure quality, coordinated feature releases, and to address player pain points.
- Drive execution of subscription lifecycle management, including experimenting with new offers, trials, and promotions to drive paid subscription growth.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in consumer-facing software (entertainment or gaming preferred)
- Experience running multiple or larger technical software development projects
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
