Physician who specializes in treating and managing wounds. Quality-focused, business-minded and team-oriented healthcare professional equipped with the skills and experience needed to lead the overall clinical and leadership responsibilities of a Wound Care Clinic.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Treating acute wounds, including bed sores and other types of infections.
- Performing wound assessments to evaluate the condition of wounds and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
- Takes part in facility orientation and training.
- Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Evaluates wound care and hyperbaric care issues.
- Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill and acute patients.
- Reviews research protocols for IRB-standards compliance.
- Review hyperbaric and wound care patient records.
- Change dressings and perform debridement as deemed necessary.
- Coaches center level providers on appropriate evidence-based care to promote quality outcomes including the use of HBO therapy when appropriate for quality outcomes.
- Creates an inspiring workplace by proactively communicating with the leadership and appropriately contributes to objectives to achieve success through increased quality of care.
- Demonstrates on Own It leadership style, taking personal accountability to achieve key results with integrity as well as holding providers within the practice accountable to outcomes and role responsibilities.

- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- Knowledge of care of common chronic health conditions as well as health promotion and prevention guidelines.
- Detail oriented, dependable, reliable
Preferred:
License and/or Certifications
Required:
- MD or DO
- Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified preferred.
