Responsibilities: • Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Ensure all work is compliant with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines • Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Oversee associate dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Identify oral diseases and provide appropriate treatment for common dental problems including cleanings, restoration, root canals, and surgical extractions • Review all patient charts and health history prior to providing any treatment. • Observe, evaluate, and apply knowledge of dental skills to the patients. • Work cooperatively with the dental team, providing care in that setting, including supervising a full dental team • Accurately record all procedures and pertinent information in the patient records. • Provide individualized care to each patient. • Assist in managing support personnel. Qualifications: • A Doctor of Dental Surgery/DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine/ DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in General Dentistry • Current and unrestricted state license in good standing • Advanced knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is helpful • Computer proficiency is desired • Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited pediatric dental program and have a specialty pediatric dental license in the state of Minnesota or Wisconsin Compensation: $200,000 - $450,000
