Role Summary
As the Engineering Manager for tvScientific's Campaign Management Team, you'll spearhead initiatives in user onboarding, account management, billing, reporting, and campaign creation. Day to day you'll help drive optimization, focusing on growth, innovation, and ownership of projects like Vertical Campaign Flow.
You'll do great in this role if you've been an engineering people manager for at least 2 years, have a knack for problem-solving, proficiency in React and AWS, and a positive attitude. If you have experience working with or managing a customer-facing reporting / analytics system, we want you on our team!
What You'll Do
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead our Campaign Management Team, overseeing user onboarding, account management, billing, reporting, and the campaign creation flow.
- Break down the application into more focused responsibilities, emphasizing load balancing of primary application responsibilities.
- Spearhead and manage the Vertical Campaign Flow project, an important business initiative providing exposure to the application and expertise in the area.
- Lead and Inspire: Steer a small, dynamic team, emphasizing growth, velocity, and the delivery of top-notch features.
- Collaborate and Elevate: Work closely with our QA team to elevate product quality.
- Design and implement processes that push the boundaries of innovation.
- Guide the team through new features, client requests, and bug resolutions.
- Bridge the Gap: Communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration across teams and ensuring a shared vision.
- Build Our Team: Play a pivotal role in recruiting, onboarding, and integrating new team members, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.

You'll Be Successful in This Role if You Have/Are

- At least 2 years of direct managerial experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Production experience with React.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
- Experience writing integration and unit tests.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and iterate quickly against rapidly updating plans.
- Ability to manage multiple personality types.
- A BS/MS in Computer Science.
You May Also Have
- Adtech experience.
- Specific domain experience in CTV.
- Experience working within or managing a microservice architecture.
- Experience working with or managing a customer-facing reporting / analytics system.
- Experience working with D3 or similar chart libraries.
- An understanding of Linux.
- Experience working with Django, Flask, or similar Python-based web frameworks.
