The START (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment) model serves people diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. This comprehensive model of service supports and optimizes independence, treatment, and community living for individuals with I/DD and behavioral health needs. East Bay YAI is seeking a Full-time Clinical Director to oversee a program located in Berkeley, CA and serving individuals in the Harbor Regional Center area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and consultation on behavioral supports and other written documents
- Review all START related documentation and provide necessary input
- Based on the feedback of Clinical Teams, identify training/support needs of the community
- Provide training and consultation to staff, families, and providers including ongoing organization and conducting CETs
- Assist START Coordinators with preparation for START Coordinator Certification
- Participate in recurring team meetings as necessary
- Provide on-site consultation as needed for guests receiving In-Home Therapeutic Coaching
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Psychology and licensed by State's/Province's Psychology Board OR MA in Mental Health, Psychology or Social Work and licensed by State's/Province's Board
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience working with I/DD population
- Extensive experience working with individuals with IDD and mental health and/or challenging behavior needs
- Experience developing and implementing behavior support plans preferred
- Prior experience as a START Coordinator and/or START Clinical Team Leader preferred
