The Role
The core responsibilities of this role will be to maximise the company’s growth, profitability, and long-term value. This role is broader in scope than a ‘traditional’ CFO role and will be a key strategic partner for the Managing Director / Owner.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Build, lead & develop team.
- Strategic planning process.
- Optimise business, grow profits, fix problems.
- Finance, accounts, cashflow, reporting.
- Commercial, projects, risk, banking, disputes.
- People, performance, recruitment.
- IT infrastructure, systems, support.
- Property, facilities, capital projects.
- Acquisitions (incl integration).
This is a significant role and will require serious ambition, energy and commitment. A highly competitive package is on offer for the right candidate. This role reports directly to the Managing Director / Owner and will be based in Perth (with a full relocation package available).

The ideal candidate would have the experience below:
- Strong career progression in finance, commercial, or general management (clear ‘A-Player’).
- Experience in a high-growth private business working for the owner, ideally including putting in place the processes and systems required to ‘professionalise’ the business during this critical growth stage.
- M&A experience doing ‘bolt-on’ business acquisitions, including integration.
- Commercial experience, including contract negotiation and dispute management.
