Spectrum Healthcare Partnersis seeking aCardiac Anesthesiologist(board certified/board eligible) to join our team at Maine Medical Center (MMC). With the opening of a new state-of-the-art cardiovascular medical tower in 2024, the MMC cardiac service line will expand to better meet the needs of both our community and northern New England. We anticipate increasing our cardiac surgery (currently 1000 cases), structural heart, and EP volume by 80% over the next three years.
Our cardiac anesthesia group provides expert anesthesiology care for patients undergoing coronary revascularization, complex valve replacements, structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman), high-risk PCI, and heart failure surgery (ECMO, LVAD, Impella). Cardiac anesthesiologists’ work will predominantly focus on the care of these patients. Call will average one weekend/month.
We are also committed to education and research. We serve as faculty for both the MMC anesthesiology residency and cardiac anesthesia fellowship programs.We also participate in research and quality improvement endeavors central to the mission of the cardiac surgery service line.
ABA board certification, Advanced PTE exam, and Cardiac Anesthesiology Boards required within 4 years of employment.
