The Sales Lead is a vital team member, focusing on membership sales, personal training sales, local prospecting outside of the club, setting up tours, attending local events, scheduling fitness consultations, and overall customer service. It is important that this person be team-oriented with great communication skills and friendly personality. This employee will drive sales and ensure the member experience is top-notch.
This is not a summer/seasonal position.
Compensation and Perks:
$18.00 per hour.
10% commission on every personal training package sold.
Attractive membership sales commission which can be $10 or $20 per membership sold plus bonus structure.

Position Responsibilities & Requirements:
Ability to work 20-30 hours per week.
Conduct 60-90 minute Fitness Consultations with members utilizing the protocol of the Pro-Fitness Program (PFP).
To recommend solutions to clients (based on assessment results) and sell personal training packages.
To ensure all administrative duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner utilizing the protocol of the Pro-Fitness Program software system.
To ensure that the Personal Training Department delivers a memorable customer service experience by exceeding the expectations of our members.
Effective ability to communicate with members, guests, coworkers, and managers.
Schedule and conduct prospect tours.
Sell memberships to prospects according to franchise and club offerings.
Scheduling fitness consultations.
Local event coordination and attendance.
Local prospecting (corporate accounts, multi-unit residential building accounts, small businesses).
Competitor shopping and analysis.
Handling cash and other transactions at the Point of Sale.
Must possess the following qualifications & attributes:
An overall passion for sales and prior sales experience is required.
An outgoing, friendly, vivacious, and enthusiastic demeanor.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with people of all ages.
Must have strong sales and organizational skills as it is the basis of the entire position.
Must understand the basics of fitness and live a fitness lifestyle.
Must be a team player as all departments must work in sync.
Must be detail-oriented as the position requires administrative work.
Must possess a basic understanding of computers and be able to learn the Pro-Fitness Program in a reasonable amount of time (training on-site)
The ability to multi-task.

Environment:
The work environment is inside Retro Fitness of Fort Lee, NJ along with some outside local prospecting and events.
Working hours could vary and include mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
