Job Description
Your role:
This role is responsible for implementing the strategic and financial objectives of the Global Liquidity business, including sales via financial intermediaries and direct sales, partnering with the Head of Sales. You will advise and establish the Global Liquidity strategic direction; business initiatives and annual goals; obtain or reallocates resources to meet objectives and priorities; and provide input into annual operating & capital budget process. The role also includes acting as a liaison between North America Institutional (NAI) and Finance.
You will be responsible for:
- In conjunction with GL team, designs and implements business plans which outline a systematic approach of maintenance and growth of for Platform and Direct Sales territories.
- Expands Invesco’s current market share and overall visibility.
- Integrates Invesco Global Liquidity marketing effort with Invesco’s global distribution network.
- Collaborates with Portfolio Managers on growth initiatives and two way feedback.
- Establishes and maintains close and cohesive relationships with client management, i.e. bank, governmental unit or other institutional entities.
- Attends and/or makes presentations when applicable to industry groups in an effort to promote Invesco Global Liquidity.
- Ensures team CRM system adherence of client marketing efforts and client contacts.
- Plans business initiatives and annual goals which impact Institutional Sales, Global Liquidity, and Invesco.
- May compile annual capital & operation budget and adjusts during the year as needed.
- Responsible for supporting and communicating Company and department policies, procedures, business initiatives, and goals.
- Resolves inter-department and company issues and problems.
- Responsible for decision making for hiring, terminating, training/developing and compensation changes for the team.
- Collaborates with internal and external resources to meet business needs.
- Uses analytics and insights to focus on the opportunities with the greatest future potential.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 15+ years of experience in the Institutional marketplace, including a minimum of 5 years leading a business or team.
- Strong knowledge of the Investment Industry and Institutional Market.
- Knowledge of product pricing, back office operations, relationship management, consultant relations, marketing and sales.
- Knowledge of Institutional product structures, market, and pricing.
- Strong investment acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of cash management product distribution.
- Proven track record of success of raising assets.
- Has a clear and compelling understanding of the future of business development, which will entail anticipating and articulating market, channel, product, industry, geographic, and economic trends that can impact client engagement.
- Record of setting, meeting and exceeding short- and long-term business targets.
- Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, commercial approach who can operate in a large global organization with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to form and cultivate positive, collaborative relationships with clients and leverage executive-level client relationships, including C-suite engagement.
- Dynamic public speaking skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in ways that are approachable to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to build, lead and motivate a team of high-performing professionals.
- Ability to drive for results, setting and achieving compelling business goals.
- Ability to articulate complex investment processes clearly, knowledgeably, and credibly.
- Strong organizational, strategy and execution skills, including experience running a business P&L.
- The capacity to thrive in a highly regulated environment that demands full compliance with policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 required upon hire into this role or within 120 days of hire.
- Relevant professional qualification a plus such as: CIMA, CFA, CFP, CEBS, ChFC, CRPC.
