We are seeking to fill the Senior Product Manager role. The role is based out of New York, NYC or Washington, DC offices (hybrid - 3 days / week in Office).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Manage a large-sized team of Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Leads, Contract Admins, and cross-functional team members supporting one large product or multiple products. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of the product and US government market. Strategic vision for the program and product. Proficiency in Lean-Agile principles and standard program and project management processes at scale. Competency in roadmap development and feature prioritization. Strong communication, financial management, and leadership skills for cross-team coordination. Market and customer insight to guide product direction.
Additionally, as part of our Government Solutions and Structured Debt Platform, you will lead initiatives to successfully manage moderately complex product life cycles, from development through marketing. Ensuring collaboration, communication, and escalation. Help to remove obstacles. Provides advanced guidance on product management processes and methods to ensure products are aligned with client needs. Aligns internal product and platform processes to US federal government program management practices. Reviews final products and strategies for major project initiatives, providing direction as needed. Recruits, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Works closely with Product Owners to align team backlogs with program vision. Participates in PI planning and other program level ceremonies. Ability to influence, persuade and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers without authority. Manages one or more product management teams. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
You will be the critical owner, serving as Lead Program Manager for major government contracts.
In this role, you will perform the following services:
- Give direction to all team members regardless of reporting line about how to conform with spirit of contract deliverables.
- Liaise with counterparts and senior executives at US government agencies.
- Oversee contract administration to ensure compliance with all contract deliverables, service level agreements, performance work statement and quality assurance standards.
- Responsible for contract governance, client relationship management, performance and deliverables management.
- Direct and manage multiple, complex and inter-related tasks to support contract deliverables.
- Monitor program performance, contract costs, scope and schedules to meet program and client objectives and mitigate risks.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal Government, SEC, and HUD rules and regulations, and industry standards. Provide support for all subcontract work, including review of all teaming and subcontract agreements and any ancillary documents relating thereto. Support compliance with all subcontract provisions.
- Leads response to government audits and other compliance activities, including the PIV process for new staff.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of related experience required; experience in the intersection of financial services and US government contracting preferred.
- Prior experience with US Federal Contract Administration and program management required.
- Past experience with Vendor Management highly preferred.
- Service Contract Administration experience highly preferred.
- Detail oriented individual with a passion for contract detail review.
- Management, leadership and administrative experience managing a large and complex contract within the asset-backed or mortgage-backed securitization environment in either the private or public sector preferred.
- No less than five (5) years of information technology, operations and outsourcing management experience.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of MBS, mortgage-backed security-related business operations, MBS or financial institution IT operations management experience.
- Expertise in infrastructure management and hosting, systems and application O&M; software development; financial institution information technology security; and complying with Federal Government, SEC and MBS related rules and regulations, and industry standards.
