We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Managing Director to join our Digital Strategy & Operations Advisory team.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm meaning most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
CohnReznick’s Digital Strategy and Operations consulting team works across a range of core industries to define, execute, and realize shareholder value creation objectives for corporations and private-equity-backed organizations. Our practice helps clients face their most pressing and critical organizational, market, and customer challenges while serving as a trusted advisory to support execution.
You’ll be part of a team of strategy consultants and digital specialists helping clients tackle their most strategic issues, including how to create and execute defensible, future-oriented, and transformative value-creation plans. Our Strategy and Operations consulting team within the Digital Advisory Practice advises clients across core categories of Digital Transformation & Strategy, Customer Centricity, Channels, Pricing, and Cost Transformation using a holistic digital lens.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Managing Director (MD) role at CohnReznick, LLP is a key position within our Digital Advisory team. Reporting to the Managing Principal of Digital Advisory, the Managing Director has overall P&L responsibility as well as operational accountability for the sales and delivery functions mapped to the Strategy & Operations service line. This role will involve partnering with various internal functions such as talent acquisition, HR, marketing and as well as the rest of CohnReznick’s Global Consulting Services (GCS) team.
- Define, establish, implement, and execute the vision and business plan for organic growth and success of the Strategy & Operations service line.
- Build, mentor and manage the service line’s team members, and provide guidance and project expertise across the portfolio of industries and sectors the team serves.
- Communicate and collaborate with both Digital Advisory and other GCS service lines, such as CFO Advisory, Risk Advisory, etc.
- Build and leverage partnerships across CohnReznick to create cross-sell opportunities for additional client service engagements.
- Work with the delivery leaders to ensure project success, team growth and revenue/margin growth.
- Develop and execute service line goals as well as executing against Digital Advisory goals.
- Understanding of market dynamics, as well as macro-factors influencing digital transformation across the market landscape (ie…AI impacts to digital transformation).
- Partner with and support service line business development BDs and Digital Advisory BDs, as well be the market leader for Strategy & Operations practice. This role is expected to both build, deliver and sell to/generate a book of business. Sales targets for this MD role are between 1.5M-2.0M per annum.
- Participate as appropriate in the pre-sales process to drive sales execution.
- Approve proposals and contracts prior to their submission to clients and prospects; review and approval of estimations, solution planning, pricing, margins, etc.
- Create and execute key sales offerings to differentiate CohnReznick capabilities from other key market competitors.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to service line team to promote and develop a BD-focused mindset.
- Client Relationships and Delivery Leadership
- Develop and maintain key client relationships; participate as CohnReznick executive sponsor where and when appropriate.
- Ensure participation in client delivery programs and promote delivery excellence.
- Lead the delivery and staffing process, working with operations/resource management teams to pro-actively build and manage a suitable staffing model.
- Service Line Financials and Operations
- Engage with Digital Advisory leadership to complete annual budgeting and planning.
- Develop and execute quarterly plans to meet goals and performance metrics, and align sales/pipeline goals against performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and sales pipelines, account for variances.
- Billable hours requirements will be 1,100 per year, along with managing both practice revenues and net managed revenue of 3-4MM per year.
YOUR EXPERIENCE.
The successful candidate will have:
- Master's degree or MBA
- Proven thought leader in the strategy and/or digital transformation space with 10+ years’ experience in consulting.
- In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, ERP systems, office of the CFO technology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
- Experience with and ability to sell at C-Level with both private and public companies from $25MM to over $5B in sales
- Ability to develop and maintain a diverse network of referral sources
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to drive organizational change and foster a culture of innovation
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital transformation
- Certifications in digital transformation, AI, or related areas are a plus
- 2-3+ years’ P&L experience managing a team with a focus on leading delivery or sales functions.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating and nurturing new or ongoing business opportunities and supporting client presales, presentations and team management.
- Strategic focus on growing and operating a business unit, leading both the sales and delivery aspects of a team, as well as creating the vision and strategy to execute against.
- Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
- Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners (including C-level) to navigate complex situations. Can effectively influence and present ideas that lead others to action.
- Persuasive communicator who understands how to effectively balance various points of view, influence others, and find common ground that drives meaningful results.
- Prior experience building and managing strong cross-functional teams.
- Must be open to ~25% travel.
