About the role:
The Senior Communications and Media Advisor develops and executes communication strategies across internal and external channels. This role shapes our brand’s public image, drives media engagement, and supports internal and executive communications. The Advisor will create and manage content across platforms, ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with our business goals and enhances our market presence in North America.
In this role, you will:
Drive the Maersk North America media strategy in collaboration with the Regional Head of Communication, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
Craft and manage external communications including press releases, media briefings, and executive communication pieces, with a focus on US business and trade media. This includes handling crisis communication to effectively address and manage high-impact situations.
Support social media content creation , covering corporate news, employee stories, and crisis management, while supporting global social media needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media in North America, particularly in the US, to enhance brand visibility.
Contribute to and help drive internal communication efforts across various channels, ensuring employee engagement and effective management messaging in the North America region.
Provide support for internal leadership communication to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging.
Assist with other communication projects as needed , supporting both regional and global initiatives.
Profile:
A journalistic flair for storytelling that effectively brings strategies and stories to life, combined with a high personal standard for communication excellence.
Recognised as a communication specialist who operates independently within the organisation, requiring guidance only in the most complex situations.
Contributes to broader decision-making processes, including the development of communication practices, processes, and procedures.
Solves complex challenges by accurately identifying underlying factors and understanding the broader impact of solutions beyond their immediate area.
An independent contributor and self-starter, taking full ownership of assignments and seeing them through to completion with minimal supervision.
Hands-on, proactive attitude with a flexible mindset to provide ad-hoc support for internal communication efforts, given our lean team structure.
What you bring:
Strong leadership communication skills with the ability to simplify complex and technical topics for diverse audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders by listening, advising, and executing consistently at a high level.
Experienced in communicating with various audiences and leveraging platforms and social media communities to drive conversation and engagement.
Familiarity with O365 tools (including MS Teams, Viva Engage, and SharePoint) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $170,000-185,000 USD *
Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.
*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
