Description:The Executive Director, Early Asset Lead will be responsible for providing commercial input into discovery and early development plans for new assets from ID1 (Go to full discovery) to ID4 (Go to full development). The lead will collaborate with early development teams in Hematology as well as the DSTs (Disease Strategy Teams) and Hematology Commercial Strategy to provide input into asset and above asset strategies.
The role will report to Vice President, BD, Strategy and Early Assets. Responsibilities include:
- Lead a high-performing Early Assets commercial team to deliver on the key responsibilities of the function
- Provide commercial input into vision and strategic fit of asset within Hematology Strategy
- Prioritize business opportunities and develop target opportunity profiles to guide development decisions
- Size asset potential and partner with BI&A to develop forecast (depending on stage of asset)
- Provide commercial input into potential development paths based on unmet need, competitive intensity, and size of opportunity
- Represent early assets on Hematology Strategy Teams to ensure maturing pipeline is fully considered in Disease Area and Portfolio Strategy
- Partner with Early Development team on above asset discussions / strategies

Requirements- BS/BA or equivalent required; an advanced scientific degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical or related field
- A unique blend of scientific acumen with demonstrated commercial competencies required
- Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork and driving results within a cross functional environment
- Experience partnering with R&D required
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical agility, with regard to market research, competitive data collection analysis, financial analysis and crystallization of key business insights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence and align stakeholders
