Job Description
The Director of Strategic Sourcing works in partnership with all business leaders to redefine and lead a sourcing organization in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment, one that develops and executes a sourcing strategy to manage supplier spend for all corporate and operations purchasing categories at Prime, excluding IT hardware & software, pharmaceuticals, and pharmacy supplies.
Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with Prime business partners and Strategic Sourcing Leadership to develop and refine sourcing strategies which address and meet the ever-changing needs and requirements of Prime's growing business.
- Initiate, direct, and conduct all activities relating to evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and implementing preferred and complex supplier contracts and develop and maintain long-term relationships with Prime’s strategic suppliers.
- Identify, engage, and align with internal Prime business areas to standardize purchasing/sourcing tools and templates to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the strategic sourcing process at Prime (e.g., RFP/RFIs, supplier scorecards, contracts, and agreements, etc.).
- Manage team performance and development, motivate and drive accountability of best outcomes while consistently demonstrating Prime’s leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholders; Manage team staffing needs and budget.
- With Sourcing leadership, develop, source, and maintain a contract management database for tracking and managing contract documents and key contract terms, using the database to ensure proper document control and to manage upcoming contract renewals or negotiations as well as standardized department reporting.
- Partner with Legal to ensure proper alignment to contract templates and execution of consistent contracting standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED.
- 8 years of strategic sourcing experience, including 3 years vendor management experience.
- 5 years of leadership/people management experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating and managing complex agreements.
- Pharmacy Benefit Management contract and negotiation experience.

- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to Senior Director, Assistant Vice President, or Vice President in the Finance department.
Potential pay for this position ranges from $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
