This Opportunity:
Currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the Assistant Air Transportation/Aircraft Fuel Supervisor position in support of the US Army on the LOGCAP V project.
Your Impact:
- Assist the Air Transportation Supervisor with the following tasks:
- Facilitate safe loading and unloading of cargo and baggage on and off government owned or contracted aircraft, surface conveyances, and commercial pallet dollies IAW AMCI 24-101, Volume 11 and other applicable instructions.
- Coordinate employee training that is assigned to their shift.
- Track and document training in the employee training records.
- Monitor proper validation, selection, staging and upload aircraft loads utilizing the load plan.
- Verify the proper section to facilitate onward movement of cargo/mail.
- Enforce proper procedures on build-up / break-down baggage pallets, multi-pallet trains, loose cargo, and mixed pallets.
- Ensure surface conveyances are safely and properly loaded.
- Ensure maximum aircraft utilization based upon available airlift and existing port backlogs.
- Ensure on-time aircraft departures.
- Ensure all VGS controlled areas are clean and neat in appearance.
- Monitor vehicle parking to ensure employees comply with the published parking plan.
- Accomplish a daily attendance report and forward it to the LOGCAP Site Manager.
- Oversee the safe and correct operation of K-loaders, forklifts, buses, tugs, vans or other required vehicles, ensure daily inspection utilizing checklists and ensure vehicles in need of repair or service are properly turned into maintenance.
- Serve as the LBAS Master Driver with the responsibility to ensure new team members are properly trained in the operation of airfield equipment in accordance with their assigned position.
- Verify coverage for optimum aircraft fueling based upon daily aircraft schedule, personnel and equipment availability.
- Coordinate issue of fuel receipts for Special Use Aircraft; Reviews fueling locations and assigns personnel to support efficient aircraft fueling.
- Perform receipt, issue, storage, spill cleanup, maintenance scheduling, hazardous waste, and fuel quality assurance operations.
- Perform the full spectrum of quality assurance sampling and testing as may be required, to include weekend and holiday aviation fuel support per the PWS.
- Sample petroleum handling equipment and systems by various methods and means, from receipt to product issue.
- Perform operation, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment, recordkeeping, and lab safety procedures.
- Inspect, evaluate condition of, and maintain fuel storage tanks, pipelines, piping systems, product pump, filter, meter, gauge, and flow control mechanisms, and other petroleum system components.
- Detect system malfunction/misalignment/leaks/adjustment issues and perform scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance.
- Remove, repair, and replace system components.
- Complete all assignments directed by Management in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as required by Company rules and regulations and all Federal, State and local laws.
- Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, notwithstanding work in other functional areas to cover absences and relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
- Have practical experience in aviation fuel distribution systems and pipeline operations.
- Use all equipment safely.
- Perform all tasks associated with the safe and correct operation of the Air Terminal as directed by management, regulations, policies, Instructions, and the Performance Work Statement.
Who You Are:
Required Qualifications:
- Perform supplemental duties in Aircraft Services or other work centers as required by Supervisor, Lead and Management.
- Experience in Air Terminal Ground Handling Services.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
- Must satisfy the USARPAC Force Health Protection Guidance medical requirements for INDOPACOM prior to OCONUS mobilization, must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis.
- Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
