Narrative in Cherry Creek is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to direct and organize the day-to-day operation of Narrative and its supporting outlets. This includes our signature three-meal restaurant and a robust yet approachable wine program. The primary objective is to uphold the brand standards and continually deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all outlet operations to include guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, overall profitability, marketing initiatives, budgeting, and policy implementation.
- Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision and professional development.
- Curate the entire beverage program with strong wine knowledge to craft a global wine menu.
- Monitor and assess product and service satisfaction trends, evaluate issues, and make improvements.
- Be a business partner to the General Manager, Director of Food & Beverage, and Executive Leadership Team.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
- Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant offerings.
- Ensure associates are knowledgeable about outlet offerings, products, services, and local area.
- Recruit, interview, and train team members.
- Monitor budget and review financial transactions for authorization and budgeting.
- Maintain food and equipment inventories and records.
- Develop weekly staff work schedules based on forecasted occupancy.
- Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Position has management responsibilities of restaurant staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor work environment with minimal to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Stand more than 2/3 of the time, walk less than 1/3 of the time, lift up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 25 pounds.
