As the Project Director for the Executive Pastor of Campuses and Union College, you will have a multifaceted role that involves overseeing various aspects of project management and serving the Executive Pastor as needed. The Project Director possesses an above-average administrative skillset (planning, calendaring, budgeting, etc.), is incredibly detailed, a quick-thinker, and anticipates needs in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. This role works in partnership with internal stakeholders of Union Church to ensure excellence at a high standard and that Union is equipped and prepared while managing all deliverables from inception to completion.
Here’s The Breakdown
Project Management:
- Develop and maintain all project plans, ensuring clear schedules, scopes, and budget estimations.
- Implement project implementation plans, including risk mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with staff members to ensure timely and accurate completion of all project components.
- Oversee the annual church calendar, the Executive Pastor’s Calendar, and serve as the manager of the Monday.com software for Union Church Campuses and Union College.
Team Leadership:
- Serves as the day-to-day project manager of all teams within the Campuses department ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all components.
Event Content Strategist:
- Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and operational consistency across all of Union’s campuses and locations.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Development, event planning, logistic planning, etc.
- Data input/Management.

Overall, your role as Project Director involves not only managing the logistical aspects of projects but also fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that reflects the values and mission of Union Church. Your attention to detail, quick thinking, and ability to anticipate needs will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the church's initiatives.

- 5+ years’ experience leading in a high-level ministry role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field (or relevant work experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in a program management role.
- 3-5 years of experience leading teams of diverse skill sets.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, creative management, or hospitality preferred.
Additional Expectations:
- Flexible schedule (Workweek is Sunday-Thursday, night and weekend availability will be requested).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for 30 minutes.

Union Church offers a generous compensation package. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience. In addition to the total compensation package, Union Church staff receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off (PTO), and paid holiday days.
