The Senior Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our market share within the poultry industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the poultry business, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales and business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Market Analysis:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the company’s presence in the poultry industry.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and product lines.
- Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations and close deals with prospective clients and partners.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with business objectives.
- Product Development and Innovation:
- Work closely with the product development team to identify new product opportunities and enhancements to existing products based on market demand.
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to guide product development and innovation efforts.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business development professionals to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by providing exceptional service and support.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for business development activities.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and provide regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the poultry or agricultural industry.
- Strong understanding of the poultry industry, including market trends, regulations, and key players.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events.
