Position Description:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Regional Vice President, a Managing Director is responsible for office profitability and operations. This position must consistently recruit and retain productive independent sales associates. Responsible for developing and implementing systems to provide training, coaching, support and guidance to assist sales associates in the growth of their businesses. Must lead by demonstrating our company’s values with an emphasis on creating a culture that supports a high-level of customer service, collaboration and transparency through proactive communication. This position is exempt and non-selling.
Position Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Engage in daily recruiting activities that produce results to reach established recruiting goals
- Participate in and promote recruiting campaigns to discover candidates for affiliation
Agent Communications and Development:
- Support and promote company vision, values, systems, tools and ancillary services
- Proactively assist sales associates with business planning to establish and achieve sales goals
- Provide guidance and assistance on transactional issues and negotiations
- Create an environment of encouragement and high morale
Office Meetings:
- Coordinate and host weekly sales activities including office meetings, roundtables and trainings with emphasis on agent growth and development
- Distribute communications post-meetings to ensure all sales associates have access to information
Administrative Personnel:
- Responsible for hiring, supervising and monitoring the performance of the office administrative personnel
Results:
- Obtain profit objectives by increasing the number of productive agents in the office and by increasing agent productivity to reach their production goals
- Deliver progress reports to the CEO, showing progress towards reaching established goals
Performance Goals:
Achieving established performance goals for recruiting and profit is essential to the success of this position. The Managing Director shall keep the CEO informed of activities performed and the results generated. In the event these goals are not met, the Managing Director shall work diligently to develop new tactics and strategies to bring about the desired results.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in real estate sales. Business development, people management, leadership, training or mentoring experience is a plus.
- Active State of MN and ND real estate salesperson or broker licenses. If not current, a willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Possess a positive attitude, integrity and passion for the industry
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment; a self-starter with strong coaching and negotiating skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, problem-solve and make decisions
- Travel is required to attend company events, conferences, etc.
Compensation:
An ideal candidate shall receive a base salary and quarterly bonus based on achieving company goals. Bonus is in complete control of the candidate, earning opportunities are non capped.
