Job Description:
At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a department or group within the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility.
- Develops technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility.
- Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance.
- Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all interfaces.
- Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of relevant experience.
- Experience as a team leader.
Preferences:
Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry.

Additional Job Detail for this Specific Opportunity:
The Software Engineer Manager position will be responsible for managing at least 2 Fraud AD Agile teams, and also be able to provide technical guidance to the teams regarding design, technology standards and guidelines.
Ability to work closely with Business Stakeholders, Scrum Master, POs, and Architects to fully understand the business requirements and help the Dev teams to transform requests into technical requirements needed to deliver features/work.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and strong organization skills are required.

- Experience with microservices architecture (RESTful and event-based).

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details:
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $126,408.00 USD
Median: $166,760.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
