What You Will Achieve
Working with a dynamic team of Procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies. You will facilitate category management, purchase goods and services for ongoing operations and manage corporate services. You will manage the sourcing requirements for all phases of the sourcing process, including project identification and start up, data collection and analysis, option development and recommendation preparation, implementation and supplier management for assigned categories.
As a Business Engagement Partner, you will provide guidance to operational teams for managing projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements and providing areas of improvement for products, processes, or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the discipline, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It
- Provide guidance, lead, or co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives and plan resource requirements for projects across the division.
- Manage the Sourcing requirements for all phases of the sourcing process, including project identification and start up, data collection and analysis, option development and recommendation preparation, implementation and supplier management for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams often comprised of local, regional and global business and sourcing representatives, to ensure effective development and delivery of sourcing strategies and management.
- Build strong relationships with Global Procurement Sourcing colleagues and leaders and provide support as required for sourcing strategies.
- Deliver targets established for the year, including savings targets and Working Capital objectives.
- Develop synergies within the region, including developing and maintaining local supplier and market intelligence.
- Provide site based plans and objectives to help assure alignment of category strategy, manage supplier selection, quality and supplier management of change in the supply base.
- Work with teams and suppliers to lead proposals and other sourcing projects.
- Lead and manage contract negotiations, ensuring price, quality and service targets and standards are achieved.
- Ensure appropriate level of interaction and communication with key stakeholders, arrange, attend and participate in customer meetings.
- Support Pfizer's Diversity and Inclusion objectives as applicable to strategic category management within Procurement.
- Develop and maintain supply chain risk assessments and drive supply chain risk mitigation operations.
- Establish supplier management metrics and processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Benchmark industry best practices in the assigned spend areas and lead the adoption within Pfizer as applicable.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Engagement Partner role is responsible for local stakeholder management & supplier performance management. They are responsible for supporting local / markets / OpU stakeholders by engaging in key internal / external stakeholder discussions and/or routing requests to Source to Pay (S2P) team members, and for managing tactical supplier performance process & supplier development programs to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Local Stakeholder Management
- Lead the category strategy development process by gathering local category & supplier requirements and responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Engage in key internal / external stakeholder discussions at the local plant / market.
- Implement sourcing strategies that align with company goals and objectives based on business requirements received from internal stakeholders, including business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Co-lead the discussions on core processes needed to coordinate across local teams and stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder spend for multiple categories.
Operational Excellence
- Execute the initiatives that optimize costs through local sourcing.
- Identify and evaluate local suppliers, negotiate favorable pricing, and track cost savings achieved.
- Implement the initiatives on process improvement under the guidance of BE leadership to achieve cost savings, increased productivity, and enhanced supplier performance.
- Analyze the spend data to identify cost savings opportunities and develop strategies to optimize Procurement processes.
- Support regular internal SRM reporting.
- Support and facilitate the TPRM Process Execution.
Supplier Performance Management
- Track and report the supplier performance improvement areas to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders.
- Support the regular supplier operational interactions and metrics discussions, identify areas for improvement, supplier change and supplier process change approval time.
- Co-lead the resolution of supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and service in a timely and effective manner.
- Track and report supplier SLA compliance and develop supplier action plans as needed.
- Lead the market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and market trends.
- Contribute to supplier innovation by collaborating with supplier to identify new products, technologies, and process that can deliver exceptional value to Pfizer.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline and 5+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of managing cross-functional projects.
- Skills to manage business operations, client engagement and customer relationship management.
- Ability to maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data for decision-making.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and strong competency with tools.
- Ability to engage with senior executives to present and review decisions.
- Awareness of current industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Operated in environment with ambiguity & changing market conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be able to identify and resolve complex problems related to supplier performance, delivery, and quality.

Experience
- Typical Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement (3+ yrs for MBA/MS).

- Exhibits business expertise and an understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills.

Work Location Assignment: Flexible
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
