What You'll Do
The Tent Warehouse Manager primary duties include supervising and coordinating all operations related to the operation of PEAK’s tent warehouse, employees, and products, including their transportation to and from job sites. The position reports to the Director of Tent Operations in a direct reporting relationship and is located primarily at the Company’s headquarters in Woburn, MA.
Day to Day
- Maintain orderly Warehouse and yard locations.
- Maintain accurate paperwork with Shipping and Receiving. This includes equipment transfers, purchase orders, sub-rentals, and any items coming in and going out of the Tent Department.
- Quality control of inventory in the Tent Department.
- Manage labor to ensure that labor costs remain appropriate with department budget.
- Responsible for Warehouse employee payroll.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide leadership for Warehouse Staff.
- Attend regular department meetings to improve communication between warehouse and field teams.
- Assist with yearly physical inventory and make recommendations on inventory levels based on data driven reports.
- Monitor and document all production and delivery failures to identify root causes and avoid preventable issues in the future.
- Coordinate with the Director of Tent Operations to create and execute seasonal staffing plans.
- Support and implement all Tent Department and Company policies and procedures.
- Provide support with Tent Fleet.
- Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by the Director of Tent Operations.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of management experience in logistics, warehousing, or related industry.
- Knowledge of inventory control and management principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage and direct diverse staff.
- Ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance.
- Ability to work independently as well as in groups.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and manage risk.
