OverviewCordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking Gas Pipeline Planners to join our Gas sector. As a Gas Pipeline Planner, you will oversee the planning for the replacement of medium pressure mains and services related to pipe replacement projects. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and coordinating gas distribution systems. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed plans, conducting site visits, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders and customers. Responsibilities- Conducting job site visits and performing thorough reviews of Company systems of record necessary to plan the replacement of medium pressure mains and services in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements. Company systems of record include, but are not limited to GIS, SAP, and SAP Service History.
- Planning through the use of Company's SAP Construction Planning & Design module including the creation of Notifications, Construction Measures, and Compatible Planning Units. All planning and services performed will be in accordance with the Gas Company standards and procedures.
- Preparation and routing of construction packages through each impacted department to satisfy all necessary system and Company prerequisites including, but not limited to Company's System Protection, Leakage, Engineering, and Area Resource Scheduling departments to meet all requirements prior to dispatching job into construction.
- Engagement, communication, and coordination with key Company Operations and Technical Services personnel to conduct necessary project reviews and approvals as well as address any questions that may arise from projects that may be in construction or reconciliation.
- Direct communication with commercial and residential customers of the Gas Company to handle inquiries related to gas service alterations, coordination and follow up.
- Developing, capturing, and reporting of monthly performance measures and quality assurance practices to measure contractor effectiveness and improve project performance.
Qualifications- Minimum 6+ months of underground utilities experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or related field is preferred
- General understanding of utility design and construction documents
- Intermediate proficiency using MS Excel
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite
- SAP experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
- Exceptional and professional customer relations skills
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid 4-5 days per week at the Chatsworth, CA office
