Position Summary
This position will serve as the lead responsible for leading complex, sometimes confidential, enterprise-wide financial analysis, and strategies to help accelerate the CVS Health business transformation strategy. By partnering closely with EPPM colleagues, CVS Health executives, business unit leaders, and other Finance colleagues (specifically Business Unit CFO’s, FP&A and Actuarial) across the organization, this individual is responsible for leading strategic initiatives focused on developing proactive, robust financial analyses to inform enterprise and business segment strategies and financial and operational decision-making. This position will also provide recommendations on the business levers necessary to pull in order to maximize competitiveness, growth and enterprise value in both the short and long-term.
The Executive Director provides critical insight through analysis of a variety of factors both within the CVS Health business as well as competitive dynamics, to determine:
- Overall economic value/ROI of strategic pursuits/investments.
- Business and/or financial risks and opportunities associated with strategic decisions.
- Profitability impacts for business contained within one segment or providing views for accounts that span multiple business segments.
- Competitive pressures/opportunities to enhance marketplace expansion, withdrawal and/or competitiveness.

Through expert coordination of analysis, providing invaluable, proactive insight and enhancing business value, this position frequently serves as a key arbiter and subject matter expert for cross-enterprise financial decision making, earning a seat at the table to drive strategic and operational decisions as well as overall business growth and success.
This high-profile work requires sound judgement, critical thinking, and expert analytical skills, working with output that is often highly confidential and/or competitively proprietary. The candidate must possess a high-degree of professionalism and demonstrate skill and comfort level in establishing/cultivating subject matter expertise across the enterprise to enhance a culture of collaboration, facilitate cross-business conversations to support alignment on work, and deliver sophisticated business analysis and insights to identify key opportunities and risk in order to enhance strategic business decision-making.
