Scope of the Role
The Fulfillment Center General Manager oversees all day-to-day inbound and outbound operations across multiple shifts in a rapidly scaling, fast-paced fulfillment center. This position collaborates with Managers and the Director of E-Commerce Fulfillment in creating, implementing, driving, and monitoring process improvements and managing business growth while motivating others to meet the challenges in a deadline-driven environment. Supports the Director of E-commerce Fulfillment by serving as a coach and mentor to the Fulfillment Center network and exemplifies superior leadership in all aspects of Fulfillment Operations.
Reporting Structure
The General Manager is a member of the Fulfillment Operations Team and reports to the Director of E-commerce Fulfillment. This position partners with key cross-functional team members and leaders across the organization.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Assist and partner with Director for strategic planning, forecasting labor, and work content off peak, on peak and high-volume sales days; appraising staff performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs; support other FCs in staffing during sale and peak periods.
- Responsible for achieving all FC cost and productivity related measures included but not limited to cost per unit processed, accident and injury prevention, orders shipped on time, orders scanned on time, inventory accuracy, associate and manager engagement, data integrity, and transparency.
- Financial responsibility for all other accounts/cost centers for specific assigned FC.
- Responsible for alignment of BCP fulfillment center culture with BCP corporate culture.
- Understand the financial implications and develop ROI analysis, for current and proposed strategic investments.
- Regularly monitor KPIs and develop continuous improvement plans and projects to address metrics that fall below benchmarks.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of the fulfillment center, reported and monitored through KPIs.
- Recruit, hire/terminate, mentor, train, develop teammates and onsite salaried reports for career progression and learning, train Fulfillment Center leadership positions.
- Planning and establishing work schedules and enforce efficiency goals and individual KPI’s.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and all applicable laws.
- Collaborate with other FC leadership to share wins, losses, and coach through issues.
- Develop and share best practices across the shifts and network.
- Lead and supervise a team of Supervisor(s)/Assistant/Manager(s) and 50 - 150 hourly associates in outbound and inbound operations within the DC.
- Own engagement strategies and initiatives through values-led engagement, employee perks, and other activities; chair the Engagement Committee; create engagement initiatives and act as a mentor for engagement across the FC network.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Required Experience
- High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years required experience in a similar role with direct experience in the manufacturing, production, or distribution environments.
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience required in a supervisor/manager role.
- Required experience in WMS tools in an automated warehouse environment (HighJump, Manhattan, JDA, a plus).
- Strong experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) required.
- Required experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
- Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Labor Management and Quality Management tool experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with continuous improvement and fundamental understanding of change management.
- Ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline driven environment.
- Ability to stand on your feet frequently for long periods of time and walk the fulfillment center and around area (10–12-hour shifts may be needed per the business needs).
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights and weekends.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$140,000 USD annually. You will also be eligible to participate in BCP’s benefits and bonus programs. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills and experience.
