Description
The Director of Verification Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the validation and verification processes for all hardware, software and data products developed and used by the company. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality data products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in verification methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as a proven track record of managing and scaling high-performing teams.
As the Director, Verification Engineering, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and manage the Verification Engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support.
- Develop and implement comprehensive verification strategies and plans for a complex hardware and software system, ensuring thorough validation of end-to-end solution resulting in high quality data products.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to define verification requirements and ensure alignment with product specifications.
- Review and approve verification plans, test plans, and results from Engineering teams to ensure the highest level of coverage and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement software programs and tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and automatically alert when system quality decreases, enabling proactive management and quick resolution of issues.
- Oversee the creation of verification environments in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in verification methods, tools, and processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the Verification Engineering team.
- Communicate verification progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a Software or Hardware Engineering, with at least 5 years in a Verification Engineering role.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing verification teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive teams toward success.
- Familiarity with software verification processes and tools is a plus.
Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 annually
