Position Overview: As a Program Director at Crystal Springs, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and growth of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll oversee administrative, clinical, and programmatic operations of a group home for four to six adults. Your responsibilities will include providing individual supervision, leading program development, coordinating care, and managing the overall maintenance and operations of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structured Daily Routine: Create and maintain a structured daily routine, which includes activities like house meetings, outings, meal preparation, assisting with daily living tasks, facilitating family visits, and ensuring medication is administered while upholding human rights principles.
- Positive Behavior Support: Implement strategies for positive behavior support and individualized programs as outlined in Individual Service Plans (ISPs) to enhance the well-being and progress of our clients.
- Crisis Management: When needed, use de-escalation and crisis management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals under your care.
- Policy Adherence: Demonstrate a strong commitment to following organizational policies, procedures, and management decisions to maintain consistency and compliance within the organization.
- Program Oversight: Oversee various aspects of program management, including ensuring the delivery of quality treatment, complying with contractual obligations, managing budgets, maintaining facilities, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet the unique needs of individuals, while closely monitoring overtime hours.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all Residential sites to provide necessary supports and resources, fostering a cohesive and unified approach to care delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all equipment and inspections meet or exceed regulatory standards, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of individuals in our care.
- Primary On-Call Duties: Serve as the primary on-call staff for the assigned residential homes. This entails being readily available to respond to any urgent needs, inquiries, or concerns that may arise during non-business hours. Ensure that appropriate actions are taken promptly to address any emergent situations or critical issues affecting the individuals' well-being and safety.
- Implementation of ISP Goals: Play a central role in the successful implementation of Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals for each individual under your care. Work closely with the individuals, their families or guardians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure that ISP objectives are met. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and encouragement to facilitate progress toward identified goals.
- Community Integration: Actively promote community integration for the individuals residing in our care. Plan and facilitate opportunities for community outings, social engagement, and participation in local activities that align with each individual's preferences and interests. Encourage and enable individuals to become active members of their communities.
- Medication Administration Program (MAP) Duties: Assume responsibilities related to the Medication Administration Program (MAP), ensuring that all medication-related processes are followed meticulously. This includes the accurate administration of medications, proper documentation, and compliance with MAP protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree or CNA preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred (experience with adults diagnosed with ID/D, ABI, or chronic conditions is a plus).
- Exceptional communication skills in spoken and written English.
- MAP Certification preferred.
We Offer:
- Competitive rate of pay ranging from $22.00 - $25.98 based on experience, education, and MAP certification.
- Sign-on bonus of $2,500, with 75% ($1,875) disbursed after 90 days and 25% ($625.00) after 180 days.
