Job Summary
- May manage a team of product leaders and/or analysts for a designated countrywide product.
- Responsible for building and maintaining and implementation of short term strategy within assigned product line.
- Creates and influences market and product coverage specific strategies and operating standards with the input from senior leadership.
- Owns tactical regulatory and compliance changes, product innovation and competitor analysis including products/coverage.
- Influences partners in Sales, Underwriting and Service to meet product best practices and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops market strategies through class and risk management techniques.
- Creates product initiatives, rating and filing strategies.
- Oversees research of product industry trends to develop strategies in order to take advantage of changing markets prior to the competition.
- Collaborates with Actuary, Underwriting, Sales & Marketing, Technology, and Claims in the review of loss trends and large loss reviews, underwriting appetite, coverages, and innovation.
- Works with the senior leadership to develop short and long-term projects. Creates and leads P&L driven projects through execution.
- Works with Project Management in the oversight of projects through implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field.
Experience Requirements
- 7-10 years related experience required.
- Experience in CAT strategy and property exposure management, including AAL, CTE, and concentration analysis.
- Ability to manipulate and run data analysis on CAT peril models.
Physical Actions
- This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
- Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
- Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
- Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Visually verifies and reads information.
- Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
- Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
