They have a current opportunity for a Tennessee Water Business Team Lead on a permanent basis in their Nashville office location. The position can be Hybrid/Remote.
Responsibilities will include managing a variety of projects within:
- Water and Wastewater treatment plants
- Water distribution systems, including pumping and storage
- Wastewater collection systems, including pumping and storage
- Regional water supply planning
The ideal candidate will be driven to develop a water business in Tennessee, possessing strong client relationships and aiming to expand this network. Responsibilities will vary in scale and evolve over time, but generally entail:
- Leading business development efforts, directly engaging with clients
- Developing a business and financial strategy for the Tennessee Water Services market
- Collaborating with the company's proposal team to pursue significant revenue-generating projects
- Overseeing the recruitment of Project Managers to support the business plan execution
- Managing project delivery with a focus on risk management and profitability
- Additionally, the candidate should have the technical expertise to serve as a project leader and advisor on water and wastewater projects.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for expanding client relationships and building a Water Business Line practice, potentially including opening and managing a new office
- Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering
- 9+ years of relevant technical experience in the water sector, including at least 3 years in project or team leadership roles
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee
- Previous experience overseeing designs for water and wastewater projects, including detailed plans and specifications
- Strong grasp of interdisciplinary practices essential for implementing water and wastewater infrastructure improvements
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
