The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will serve as a principal thought leader for all Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) programs. The CMO will report to the Chief Executive Officer and keep the Executive Team and Board Members apprised of all PCMH services. The CMO will provide vision, strategy for implementation, clinical oversight, and program development to drive quality and cost efficiency improvements. Additionally, the CMO will partner with the providers, staff, and senior management to provide leadership in clinical integration and medical management for our patient population. Physician alignment and relationship management with internal and external providers within the healthcare delivery system is a fundamental role of the Chief Medical Officer. Through advisement, the Chief Medical Officer will provide support for team development, education, and performance improvement.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS AN EXEMPT POSITION)
The CMO will provide comprehensive primary care to patients, participate in on-call rotations, and support other providers. The CMO will provide emergency screening and stabilization, attend in-service and administrative meetings, and follow EUI policies. This individual will monitor and participate in peer review and provide patient services beyond visits. The CMO supervises mid-level practitioners, conducts data reviews, and oversees performance evaluations. The CMO will address conflicts and issue resolution and provide ongoing training and education to reduce practice variation.
The CMO leads provider meetings, manages scheduling, and oversees provider operations. They participate in recruitment and retention, provide feedback on peer reviews, and review clinical care malpractice cases. They advocate for EUI, promote wellness activities, and participate in training for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents. They maintain a reliable schedule, attend educational programs, and provide quality care to patients. They maintain 100% productivity, report on time, and adhere to confidentiality policies and procedures. They perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Medical School, (Internship), Residency.
- MBA and/or MPH (preferred).
Licensure / Certification:
- Florida Medical License, DEA certificate, Board Certification, maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills / Ability:
- Examination, Lab, and Radiological Evaluations, Diagnosis, Consultation, Therapeutic.
