Position Summary:
The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Manager will lead the business unit HRIS function, working closely with enterprise HRIS and business unit Human Resources. The HRIS Manager will conduct and lead efforts around business analysis, systems analysis, and the development, scope, scheduling and execution of program implementation. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating HRIS activities to maximize the use of human resources and maintaining functions. The position will be a hands-on leader with a focus on customer service.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Supervise HRIS Analysts including assigning tasks and activities, managing performance and development, coordinating project work, etc.
- Monitor and measure customer service and satisfaction; provide feedback to Analysts.
- Responsible for the oversight of the Support ticketing system and ensuring proper and timely resolution of tickets.
- Facilitate regular business update meetings, communicating project status and schedule, and ensuring alignment.
- Support the execution of the HR systems roadmap.
- Responsible for the ownership of projects and driving them forward; including:
- Participate in development or confirmation/clarification of project scope.
- Manage timeline and ensure timeliness of project deliverables.
- Capture functional requirements from stakeholders including business partners, payroll, HRIS, etc.
- Assign and track tasks to Analysts, Payroll, business partners, etc.
- Issue resolution and escalation.
- Communications & status reporting to stakeholders.
- Risk Management.
- Resource Management.
- Ensure proper user acceptance testing in order to fully satisfy product requirements.
- Translate product specifications and business processes between clients and internal technical team.
- Liaison between the broader HR team, technology teams, and support teams; subject matter expert for HR systems and strategy.
- Partner with Divisional HRBPs and Reyes Holdings HRIS to ensure policies are interpreted correctly for system configuration.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements; recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy or process changes.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.
- Responsible for creating and developing reports in support of the business.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT, Human Resources, or related field.
- 6+ years’ experience in project management and HRIS systems and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in any combination of the following areas: HRIS (system configuration, enhancements, testing), report writing, querying, data analysis and training.
- Proficient in SQL and various reporting tools.
- Proficient at defining project scope and requirements.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment; successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills with ability to present findings or translate the data into an understandable document; must be able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
- Highly detailed and results oriented.
- Strong critical thinking ability to review numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
- Ability to apply independent judgment and discretion on issues that may be sensitive or confidential in nature.
- Ability to handle confidential information and material.
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of HR and Payroll processes and terminology.
- Proficient in UKG Pro Workforce Management, Ultimate Software, and PeopleFluent.
- Skilled in advanced report writing tools such as Cognos, SSRS, or similar systems.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Proficiency in BI Analytics.
