Position Overview:
Simply Salad is looking for a rockstar Restaurant General Manager to join the team and lead the daily operations of one of our restaurants. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will help lead a high energy team to deliver excellent customer service and execute on our vision to be a diverse, high-performance Company and culture. We are a Company that believes our people are our most important ingredient (even more so than our fresh greens from local California farms) and ability to develop leaders will be a critical component to success.
You will serve as a key leader of the operations team and provide valuable input as we scale our organization. This position will report to the Regional Manager and will collaborate closely with the rest of the executive leadership team and ownership.
This position is restaurant-based and candidates must have the ability to work a 50-hour week with an open schedule to flex with business needs, which can include weekends, nights, holidays & additional days.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervisory responsibilities: hire and train restaurant staff, mentor and develop staff into future leaders of the Company, organize and oversee staff schedules, conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, handle coaching conversations, discipline, and terminations, and manage payroll, time cards, and ensure compliance with meal break policies.
- Act as a role model and brand ambassador for the Company, which includes line work during peak hours.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring product quality and freshness and compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Be extremely involved in all service (i.e. hands-on).
- Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
- Handle customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
- Estimate food and beverage costs and forecast expected business levels based on historical results and planned marketing activities.
- Conduct daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Periodically evaluate restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance; schedule for required service.
- Maintain sales records and track cash receipts / deposits.
- Prepare and submit operations reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
