About the Role:
In this role, you will lead a team of PD Project Managers to shape and drive the stage gate process. You are a keen cross-functional leader, coordinating across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, and Finance to ensure excellence in on-time execution for NPD and Non-NPD projects (Sampling, Gift with Purchase, Reformulations, and Retailer Exclusives) globally.
As an integral leader on the innovation team, the Project Management Director will sit on the Innovation GM’s management team and will be relentlessly focused on optimizing the company’s NPD process to solve problems that transform the way the company brings new innovation to market.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead a team of Project Managers, ensuring all NPD projects in the organization are tracking towards on-time execution.
- Continuously train, coach, and develop PD project management talent within the organization.
- Create a culture of support, collaboration, and sharing across the PM department.
- Serve as the key PM voice in key leadership meetings effectively and fearlessly communicate risks and trade-offs to CEO ELT members.
- Serve as key cross-functional leadership contact to facilitate appropriate collaboration and train on relevant processes.
Process Creation and Optimization
- Conceptualize and architect processes/workflows for the most complex initiatives in innovation and R&D.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities creating and refining best practices and processes for successful project execution.
- Critically assess existing and new processes challenging the status quo and driving ongoing improvements.
Project Management
- Directly project manage the most high-stakes and strategic projects across the innovation and R&D organizations.
- Proactively identify risks, counter-act, and press for decisions to execute on time and within quality expectations.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 10+ years of experience in process/project management across global teams and/or concentration of R&D or Supply Chain.
- Skilled problem-solver who drives out-of-the-box thinking when appropriate.
- Adept at operating autonomously amidst ambiguity.
- Ability to lead and influence without being the direct manager of all team members.
- Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

Our Total Rewards:
The annual base pay for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
