Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett), an award-winning and industry-leading environmental, health and safety, and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to support the firm’s growing Engineering & Infrastructure Group.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for this position will be capable of serving as a design civil engineer for challenging and complex civil engineering projects to support the growth and development of our clients. Civil engineering project assignments will be focused on site development, grading, stormwater management, and/or water and sewer utilities. This position requires working with a wide variety of clients from local manufacturers to Federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and others. This position will provide technical expertise, lead project civil design aspects, and assist the firm’s Engineering & Infrastructure Group Lead to develop strategies for growth of the engineering practice over time.
Location:
This is a hybrid position based out of the firm’s Corporate Headquarters located in Stoneham, MA office. The role includes project site visits during design and construction and attendance at on-site client meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering with the ability to achieve licensure or active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil site development.
- Experience working on Federal projects preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and management of projects.
- Technical writing skills with demonstrated experience, including preparing site investigation reports, feasibility studies, construction documents, and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk; AutoCAD and C3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office products: Word, Access, Project, and Excel.
- EIT or EI credential required
- Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified or ability to achieve certification are required.
- Organizational and personal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with clients, staff, and peers clearly and directly.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, as well as pre-employment physical and drug screen, to include cannabis.
- Approximately 5% travel.
