We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Melville store.
Inspirations Paint is about giving our customers the right equipment for their project; we’re about giving them the confidence and inspiration to make that project awesome. Inspirations Paint is Australia’s leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets.
This permanent full-time position will assist in leading the store team and store manager to build sales by delivering exceptional service to our customers while assisting the store manager to operate the store. An above award salary will be offered commensurate with experience, knowledge and skills offered.
The successful applicant will be genuinely interested in people and their projects and demonstrate a personal commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar senior retail sales role, and ideally have knowledge of the paint industry.
A regular 38 hour per week roster will be agreed to suit store opening hours, mostly during weekdays; however, regular rostered weekends will be required. Current store hours are 6am-5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 7am-4pm and Sundays 9am-2pm. A uniform will be supplied and ongoing training provided to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership within the store sales team
- Providing support to the store manager in all aspects of store operations and sales
- Demonstrating exceptional customer service and providing expert paint advice
- Tinting and mixing paint, providing colour advice and colour-matching
- Store presentation, stock management and housekeeping
- Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Following the “Inspirations Way” procedures
Experience / Attributes:
- A demonstrated background in sales and/or customer service would be highly regarded
- Ability to work rostered weekends is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the paint industry, paint application and home improvement is desirable
- Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills
- A willingness to learn and continuously improve
- Able to contribute and work in a small team environment
- A current driver’s licence is required
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Basic computer skills
- This role involves heavy lifting up to 25kgs
