Partnership of SCPMG
Transition to a Partner/Owner of SCPMG is eligible after three consecutive years of full-time employment (or six consecutive years of part-time employment) with increased benefits (e.g., compensation, retirement, life insurance) and voting rights on organizational decisions.

Opportunity to join an established Pediatric Cardiology clinical practice comprised of ambulatory clinic, fetal/transthoracic echo performance/interpretation, inpatient consultations/rounding (limited), and virtual medicine. Pediatric Cardiology at Southern California Permanente Medical Group consists of 11 full-time and 1 per diem part-time Pediatric Cardiologists across the Southern California region. Together, we care for the KP Southern California population which currently spans 4.7 million members and over 1 million pediatric members.
We are recruiting a full-time Pediatric Cardiologist to join our group in Fontana and Riverside (Inland Empire). KP Fontana Medical Center is a member of the Children's Hospital Association and is one of three tertiary medical centers in the Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Care (KPPC) network. KP Riverside Medical Center is a moderate-sized 224-bed medical center with a robust pediatric and maternal health center within the KPPC network. At Fontana and Riverside, we serve as the primary centers of care for the diverse pediatric population in San Bernardino County. Our inpatient services include pediatric hospitalists, NICU, PICU (Fontana only), and emergency department. We anticipate 3 days per week of on-location work at Riverside and 2 days per week of on-location work in Fontana. Call duties are to be shared among 3 total cardiologists covering Riverside and Fontana Medical Centers. We emphasize fostering a strong culture of collaboration and support among pediatric medical and surgical specialties across the KP Southern California region. Our main cardiac facility within Kaiser and location of our interventional catheterization lab is at KP Los Angeles Medical Center, with whom we have ready access and collaboration. Finally, we play an active role in training the next generation of physicians, both in teaching resident physicians and as a designated clerkship site for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine.
Potential clinical roles include:
- Outpatient consultation and follow-up care
- Inpatient consultation and rounding - limited
- Performing fetal and transthoracic echo
- Providing virtual medical care
- Physician-physician advice via telephone and electronic advice communication tools
- Shared call schedule with other KP pediatric Cardiology physicians
- Opportunity for mentorship and clinical teaching of KP School of Medicine students
- Bimonthly Regional Cardiac conference and discussion

SCPMG San Bernardino County (Fontana) serves a population in the northeastern section of the LA Basin that's as diverse topographically as culturally. High-desert hiking, skiing at Big Bear, water-skiing on Lake Arrowhead, and mountain biking on Mt. Baldy are all close by--as are very affordable options for home-buying. Physicians and staff members enjoy the seasons, with fall colors and prominent views of snow-capped mountains. The area also offers a variety of dining, entertainment, and cultural options.
