Job Description
Responsible for working on big data/analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results and develops actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. Acquires data from multiple data sources to perform analysis. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Interprets data and analyze results using various statistical techniques and tools.
Other accountabilities include reporting on project activities, sizing projects, tracking time, testing, user documentation and technical documentation. Ensures all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead and actively participate in the development process, bringing hands-on expertise to transformational initiatives.
- Be an owner and a champion of data platform quality, performance, and integrity.
Data Engineering Focus:
- Design and implement robust and scalable solutions.
- Performance tuning and efficiency of data-related processes and systems.
Technology Proficiency:
- Technical proficiency in one or more of the core cloud platforms including Cloud data migration, Azure.
- Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality.
- Model data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows to enable powerful data analysis.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Partner with data analytics team and key stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Act as an excellent communicator and collaborator, fostering strong partnerships with business leaders/partners, risk management teams, and other stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 6+ years of experience working with various database technologies e.g. SQL Server
- 6+ years hands-on experience with ETL (SSIS, SSRS), source code control (i.e. TFS or GIT)) and Data Management tools
- 4+ years of experience working with large data sets, and optimizing data processes
- 4+ years of experience with Python and/or data visualization/exploration tools
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, and Cloud technologies preferably Azure
- Proficient in SQL/SAS for querying data and data manipulation/transformation
- Expertise in creating schemas and writing efficient SQL queries on a relational database.
- Strong business understanding to be able to bridge technical and business priorities.
- Excellent analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Thorough knowledge of data and process modeling, system and application testing, software development life cycle, application design and architecture, programming, implementation, and change controls.
- Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with business partners and team members across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with limited direction.
- Adept at forging relationships, influencing others, overcoming resistance, and producing results.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, SharePoint) is a plus
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
