What’s the role?
Reporting to the President/Head of ZEISS Business Services (“ZBS”) North America, the Transformation Management Office (“TMO”) Leader, is a dynamic and strategic leader driving organizational value optimization, efficiency, and cost reduction through the delivery of successful business transformation initiatives. The TMO Leader will define strategies, implement initiatives, and oversee program and project management relating to transformation initiatives, manage risk, engage with internal and external stakeholders (including vendors) and build trusted partnerships across business functions to drive innovation and success.
The TMO Leader for ZBS NA will also drive the development of a strategic blueprint for the ZEISS Business Services (“ZBS”) model and framework. This position will focus on transforming the existing regional business services into a cohesive, scalable, and efficient ZBS framework, establishing best practices, governance recommendations and operating principles.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Strategic Leadership:
- Help drive the ZBS vision through promotion of cross-functional collaboration, connection of interdependent initiatives and stakeholders and leading a “One ZEISS” perspective.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the vision, goals, and roadmap for ZBS.
- Lead the design and implementation of strategies to help ZEISS North America achieve its “20 in 5” strategic objectives across the business supporting functions.
Blueprint Development:
- Lead the development of a comprehensive and scalable blueprint for the ZBS model, focusing on process standardization, service delivery optimization, and technology enablement.
- Design and implement the ZBS NA blueprint, aligning it with regional and global business objectives.
- Ensure adaptability to different regional contexts.
Change Management:
- Lead the design of the change management strategy and champion change management efforts required to transition from current state to the future state of ZBS NA.
- Drive adoption and engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders for the region, including with business leaders, within ZBS and global leaders and teams.
Program Management:
- Oversee the execution of transformation initiatives supporting the ZBS NA blueprint.
- Ensure timely project delivery, within scope and budget, meeting quality and efficiency targets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and nurture relationships with key regional and global stakeholders, promoting alignment and collaboration throughout the transformation process.
Performance Measurement:
- Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of blueprint implementation.
- Regularly report on progress and results.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the transformation and implementation of the ZBS NA model.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Innovation:
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in GBS and transformation.
- Introduce innovative approaches to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the ZBS model.
Do you qualify?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably with a focus on business transformation, business/shared services or strategic program management.
- 7+ years’ experience of successfully implementing business transformation and digital initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, change management, communication, and people skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across regions.
- Strong understanding of business processes, service delivery models, and change management principles.
- Experience in managing cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure success.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate and resolve complex challenges.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated strategies in developing successful and effective teams who are diverse, in different locations, generating engagement, feedback and commitment to success.
- Demonstrated positive track-record of innovation and collaboration.
- High level of organization, managing risk and decision-making skills working in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to successfully manage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Creative, innovative and agile with the ability to think outside the box.

The annual pay range for this position is $170,000 – $215,000.
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
