Position Description:
LCG is hiring a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex database systems that support business-critical applications. The role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and developing scalable solutions for enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, database architecture, and advanced data modeling techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions using SQL/PLSQL.
- Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas.
- Develop and maintain database-related components using Java, ensuring seamless integration with applications.
- Implement and manage data migration processes between different database systems.
- Manage and maintain Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and upgrades.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to ensure database solutions meet business needs.
- Provide database support and troubleshooting for development, testing, and production environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a DBA Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL databases.
- General knowledge of database administration tasks patching, and upgrades.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Oracle DB Certificate Required.
Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $125,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
