Role Overview
The External Network Manager will need to develop and maintain the organization of our external repair network, which includes our Retail Partners, Independents and Vendors. This needs to be accomplished by strategically planning the needs and related execution, in coherence with the CS regional and Maisons strategy. Collaboration and networking with our numerous stakeholders (Business partners, the Maisons, experts in the CS function) will be key to optimize the network development and performance and improve our omnichannel offer and experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Performance management
- Development of external network Partners/Vendors to support the growing needs of the business according to the overall region 3-5 years plan.
- Network with key stakeholders, Maison commercial teams, vendors, and general watchmaking community to develop opportunities and business synergies.
- Support the strategic execution and propose adjustments according to market changes and needs.
- Identify areas of opportunities from a network repair perspective derived from in depth analysis in order to actively contribute to the overall service strategy.
- Understand the current stakeholders position and location and evaluate potential development opportunities.
- Propose, plan, negotiate and budget with the existing partners for expansion and engage with new potential vendors and partners.
- Responsible for being the main point of contact for and maintaining the partnership with HQ, ensuring consistency with Group vision and strategy.
- Propose and formalize any relevant changes to policies and practices to optimize the network and synergies.
Management of the network performance
- Monitor performance of the partners.
- Define and implement required actions if objectives are not achieved.
- Monitor arrivals/departures of watchmakers in the network and adjust the agreements/authorizations levels accordingly.
- Monitor sales warranty re-imbursement requests and variations.
Operational management & coordination
- Manage application process for external partners or scope increase of current partners:
- Application forms
- Technical Audits (physical and digital)
- Coordinate H&S and security audits with function in the region.
- Define and consolidate trainings needs by partner and Maisons.
- Ensuring continuous monitoring of the network for quality standards and perform continuous regular audits (equipment maintenance…)
- Coordinate cross-functionally both with HQ and local training teams according to vendor training needs:
- Bench tests
- Training scheduling and execution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Ensure process is aligned with legal framework and all processes are documented with the support of the network team.
- Collaborate with the commercial Maisons to give them visibility on their business partners performance and get their support.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience is required.
- 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Business Management experience and financial acumen.
- 5-10 years of Technical Watchmaking experience specifically in the Luxury Watch Market.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical participants.
- Travel requirements: 30% of travel both domestically and abroad.
- Sales and Retail experience will be an advantage.
- Position can be fully remote with regular visits to technical center in Dallas.
