The Receipt Management Analyst (Planning) is responsible for the creation, planning, and execution of Allocation receipt targets. Receipt targets are agreed-upon volumes of product that are sent to stores and achieved through a combination of product that is shipped directly from the vendor and product that is allocated from the hotel area of the Distribution Center (DC). Hotel refers to items that are stored in the Distribution Center for release in a specified month. The Analyst makes recommendations and implements the optimal volumes and assortment of releases to support the treasure hunt in stores.
The Analyst will review historical strategies, receipt placement by product and/or DC, and input from cross-functional partners to develop, refine, and execute strategies that support desired product mix, in-store events, assortment, and Distribution Center Workloads. Analysts work on projects and tasks where analysis of situations or data requires a review of diverse factors. Analysts must exercise judgment to determine appropriate action(s) to resolve a variety of issues and build productive internal/external working relationships. In this role, Analysts are developing their professional knowledge and expertise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Allocation Release Strategies, Targets & Goals
- Create weekly allocation targets, develop daily goals, and/or select SKUs to achieve goals.
- Communicate strategies through Director and establish/follow processes that support target achievement.
- Independently create solutions, provide recommendations, and escalate roadblocks to leadership including Sr. Manager and Director.
- Support events by establishing product levels, recommending/following release strategies, and ensuring adherence to strategies.
Strategy Management and Analysis
- Assess impacts and feasibility of desired allocation receipt targets and strategies, make recommendations to address concerns.
- Monitor, track, and resolve roadblocks to Allocation receipt targets from beginning to end.
- Hindsight Allocation receipt targets seasonally/monthly/by event by summarizing notable learnings, wins, and opportunities. Present findings and make recommendations through Sr. Manager.
- Complete ad hoc analytics to support business needs; independently research and respond to callouts.
Communication
- Drive timely and effective communication with internal and external business partners to inform/recommend allocation strategies and results.
- Provide weekly communication to Allocation leadership of results and receipt opportunities/risks, providing recommended action needed to support changing trends.
- Communicate conclusions and recommendations in a clear, straightforward, and concise format to business partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- 1-2 years equivalent work experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Retail math
- Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software)
- Ability to independently analyze data sets to solve problems and summarize recommendations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
