Leadership and Team Management:
- Guide and support clinical staff, promoting a collaborative and effective work environment.
- Inspire and motivate clinical staff to deliver exceptional mental health services.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss clinical issues, challenges, and developments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Clinical Supervision:
- Provide regular supervision and mentorship to supervising staff offering feedback on clinical practices. May provide supervision and mentorship to mental health counselors and therapists as needed.
- Conduct case reviews to ensure effective treatment and adherence to ethical standards and best practices.
- Support staff in managing complex cases and crisis interventions.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Assess community needs to develop relevant mental health programs and services.
- Create evidence-based treatment protocols and guidelines for clinical practice.
- Implement new therapeutic modalities and ensure staff training in these areas.
- Design and implement clinical programs and interventions to meet the needs of clients.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
- Establish metrics for evaluating clinical performance and client outcomes.
- Conduct audits and reviews of client records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical services to maintain high standards of care.
- Implement corrective actions when necessary to improve service delivery.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to mental health services.
- Ensure all clinical practices align with licensing requirements, accreditation standards, legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
Client Care Oversight:
- Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning processes for clients.
- Ensure that treatment plans are individualized, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based.
- Address any client complaints or concerns regarding clinical services.
Budget Management and Resource Allocation:
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and manage the clinical department budget.
- Identify resource needs and advocate for necessary funding for programs and staffing.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure financial sustainability of clinical programs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
- Represent the organization in community meetings and professional associations.
- Work with external partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving mental health access and education in the community.
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
- Encourage participation in professional development opportunities and continuing education.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensed as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health regulations and best practices.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
