Executive Director/ Nursing Home Administrator- Kentmere Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing (Wilmington, DE)
Kentmere Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing is a four-star rated non-profit skilled nursing facility located in Wilmington, DE. Kentmere is seeking a Nursing Home Administrator to assume the role of Executive Director for our 104 licensed bed facility.
Since 1901, Kentmere has served the residents of Wilmington, Delaware and surrounding communities, providing the highest quality of health care and rehabilitation in a home-like environment. Kentmere offers in-patient rehabilitation, skilled and intermediate nursing, and care for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Our recently renovated 4 story, 55,000 square foot facility situated in a beautiful neighborhood setting, offers an abundance of private patient rooms with many amenities and a state-of-the art 2800 square-foot therapy gym.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the candidate will be directly responsible for the strategic direction, daily operations and ongoing management of the facility. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board in making major operational and strategic decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization's mission and objectives.
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and agreements to support business development initiatives.
- Provide senior leadership by guiding and mentoring staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Manage financial resources, budgets, and expenditures to maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Oversee project management activities to ensure timely delivery of key projects.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and the quality and safety of resident care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 (three) years of prior experience as a licensed nursing home administrator.
- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Delaware (or eligible and willing to obtain Delaware license).
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to forge successful partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage teams and inspire leadership at all levels.
- Experience in business development and driving organizational growth.
- Proficiency in senior leadership roles with a track record of success.
- Solid background in operations management and overseeing complex projects.
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies to streamline operations and improve the quality of resident care.
