The Role
As Director, Cloud Security Platform, you blend architecture, engineering, and development expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the product owner, you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the platform mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence broader strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to complete specific product features. You will ensure alignment on the 'what' and 'when' work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable platform members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation, and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.
- Defining, refining, and communicating the platform's mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment.
- Anticipating and prioritizing client/partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team.
- Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria.
- Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments.
- Measuring performance against established objectives and KPIs that deliver on agreed-upon business, technology, and people results.
- Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability, enabling squad member growth, development, and learning.
- Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines.
- Technical Product Owner experience with building roadmaps, designs, and delivering products or solutions at scale.
- Forward-looking Platform Owner with experience around Security technology and balancing Engineering excellence, Innovation, Cost Optimization, business enablement, and Delivery.
- Building roadmaps, designs, and delivering products or solutions at scale.
- Acting as a strategic partner and inspiring leader to streamline and simplify business processing by implementing a modern technology stack.
- Collaborating with other engineers and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build highly resilient and scalable platforms.
- Deep knowledge of emerging technology stacks in CNCF and the open-source world.
- Delivering the tooling and capabilities needed to enable the developer community to operate at scale.
- Understanding engineering needs including those required to build, maintain, and operate the system through all phases of its life.
- Delivering the tooling and capabilities needed to enable application hosting in a container management platform.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10–15 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure projects.
- Key, Certificate, Secret Management, Kubernetes, Envoy, Open Telemetry, and open-source technologies are a plus.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions.
- Financial services experience preferred.
- Agile experience.
- Jira and Jira Align experience preferred.
- You take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translating strategic objectives into action, and prioritizing to improve value delivered.
- You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria.
- You have a strong focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress.
- You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams.
- You continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working.
- You establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
