Job Title: Site Director
Organization Description:
Alternative Schools Network is a dynamic non-profit which supports underserved and jobless youth and young adults in Chicago with successful education, employment, and support services.
Position Description:
The site director oversees the instructional and management operations of the ASN/GED program to include vision of the program, supervision and evaluation of staff and successful student outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reviews and monitors the instructional and management operations of the GED program.
- Conducts staff evaluations.
- Communicates grant program policies and procedures to staff.
- Facilitates resource development in conjunction with the ET.
- Develops policy and procedures for the program.
- Facilitates weekly staff meetings.
- Organizes professional development.
- Builds community partnerships.
- Maintains relationship with the NEIU Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies.
Organizational Requirements:
- Attend all ASN staff and supervisor meetings.
- Responsible for Board Reports to the ASN Board of Directors.
- Support ASN sponsored events.
Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge and experience in: program administration, grant management, workforce development, youth work, youth development.
- Above average skills in: data collection, analysis and reporting; ability to work cross-culturally; grant-writing.
- Excellent skills in: multi-tasking; data management; customer service to agency’s members.
- Demonstrated ability to: train, supervise and support school-based case managers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage administrative and direct service demands in a fast-paced work culture.
- Demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible.
- General knowledge of: barriers, challenges and larger systems in the lives of urban youth/families; interventions that promote and support client success.
- Experience in human services, social work, working in a secondary setting.
- Proficient with the Internet and Microsoft Office - particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years experience.
- Years of experience: 3+ years of experience in program administration, grant management, workforce development.
- Active affiliations: NAWDP (Nat’l Assoc. of Workforce Professionals).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,000.00 per year
