Come join our Global Risk Solutions (GRS) North America Marketing team to support our commercial insurance organization that serves the insurance and risk management needs of businesses of every size in the U.S. and across the globe.
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will partner with marketing colleagues within GRS and across the Enterprise, field distribution leaders, business segment leaders, external partners and other cross-functional teams throughout GRS, to develop and deploy marketing strategies, approaches, programs, campaigns and channel executions that align to key business priorities and help activate our One-GRS messages and strategies.
The GRS marketing team works closely with North American leadership and Distribution strategy and operations to define business need to help develop our go-to-market plans. These plans are informed by market/regional insight, business/product priority, growth areas and market need that all align to the success of our brokers and clients within the commercial insurance space. In this role, you will help dive deeper into the needs of our Field Distribution organization and ensure we are delivering marketing support that directly reflects and meets the needs of our Field team. You will also partner across GRS to ensure our efforts within North America directly align to the priorities and goals at the GRS Global level. You will have exposure and responsibilities that span complex engagement strategies, creative development, print/digital messaging and execution, and results analysis. Responsibilities
- Plans, develops and implements marketing initiatives and activities that align to business goals associated with broker and client needs within the Distribution organization.
- Strategizes, organizes and coordinates the design and delivery of marketing programs and their communications to ensure accomplishment of sales, financial and budgetary goals.
- Acts as internal consultant to other marketing and distribution departments regarding best practices.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement communication programs and initiatives.
- Leads complex projects that have a high degree of cross-functional impact and visibility with a range of associated deliverables across many mediums (e.g. print, digital, experiential).
- Projects typically require buy-in and engagement from cross functional partners. Effectively builds consensus and alignment to gain commitment from partners for complex, interdependent projects.
- Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Makes recommendations on business cases, assists in writing POVs.
- Works with manager and team to identify project/program requirements and helps develop effective marketing programs to deliver business results.
- Helps to identify best and new practices to drive the group’s efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
- Helps to develop new initiatives and opportunities based on an understanding of the needs of the business.
- Establishes and evaluates metrics and performance benchmarks for all marketing communication programs.
- Demonstrates openness, logic and sound reasoning to address others’ concerns and gain support from cross-functional partners and Marketing leadership.
- Independently leads meetings with a variety of stakeholders, from marketing colleagues to senior or executive leadership.
- Effortlessly tailors messages to audience, including Marketing and Distribution leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Constructs presentations that are well-organized and support recommendations rooted in business need. Gains buy-in from stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (with a concentration in Marketing or Communications preferred) or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within a marketing-driven organization.
- Prior advertising agency experience preferred.
- Requires advanced working knowledge of all marketing areas and the ability to integrate them.
- Requires the combination of strategic planning, business knowledge, marketing and communications skills.
- Strong client/partner relationship building and support skills to ensure the needs of each stakeholder are met.
- Proven track record for data-driven marketing solutions rooted in a consultative approach.
- Ability to translate key business and marketplace insights into actionable strategies.
- Advanced experience using data, insights and creative analytics to tell a story and drive business decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities required.
- Strong detail orientation.
- Highly effective project management skills to drive cross-functional programs.
- Strong analytical, collaboration, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Strong knowledge of relevant marketing technologies including creative project management software (e.g. WorkFront).
- Ability to plan and execute projects independently.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams to deliver on shared goals.
