The Senior Software Engineer Role

Together, we will be creating delightful experiences to make it seamless for businesses to bring their data into the most powerful data management platform around. This team is at the heart of the data-driven AI revolution.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- The ability to fluently express yourself through software.
- A foundational background in computer science, whether from academic achievements or up to five (5+) years of practical software development experience.
- A robust coding skill set and a keen interest in Functional Programming Technologies, especially Clojure, along with web development technologies such as Typescript, JavaScript, and React. Microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern database solutions such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis are also greatly appreciated.
- Experience writing, running, and supporting 24/7/365 hosted services with multiple 9s of uptime.
- A problem-solving mindset and a continuous thirst for knowledge and personal growth.
- Strong collaborative skills, with a history of building effective relationships across teams.
- Experience or a strong interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- A passion for understanding security both from a code and systems perspective is also a big plus.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 – $120,000 per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
