They are seeking an experienced and driven Internal Medicine or Family Physician to serve as the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about adult healthcare and ready to lead a dynamic team in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide both clinical care and administrative leadership for the Adult Medicine Department in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, and Director of Infectious Diseases.
- Spearhead initiatives to improve clinical operations, streamline provider workflow, enhance patient satisfaction, and optimize financial outcomes.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and development of clinical providers, including overseeing the performance and discipline of staff.
- Support compliance with clinical care standards and lead professional practice evaluation processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Work closely with advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs), ensuring quality oversight and supervision.
- Develop and contribute to strategic department initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Build productive relationships with clinical staff, patients, and external partners to enhance service delivery.
- Collect, analyze, and present clinical data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Participate in enterprise-level projects, offering valuable insights and contributions.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (required).
- Physician License in the state of CT (preferred).
- Experience working in a large healthcare setting, with a focus on serving underserved populations.
- Familiarity with compliance issues related to clinical care and quality standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams and improve patient care outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to collaborate across different teams.
- Experience in supervising advanced practitioners and leading department-wide initiatives.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to make evidence-based, defensible decisions.
